Kohei Kawata (河田 晃兵, Kawata Kōhei, born October 13, 1987) is a Japanese professional football player. He plays as a goalkeeper for the team Ventforet Kofu. Goalkeepers are super important in football because they are the last line of defense, stopping the other team from scoring goals!

After his loan spell, Kohei Kawata officially joined Ventforet Kofu in 2015. He has been a key player for them ever since. As a goalkeeper, he has played in many matches, making important saves for his team. He wears the number 1 jersey for Ventforet Kofu.
