Kohei Miyazaki (宮崎 光平, Miyazaki Kohei, born February 6, 1981) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder.

Kohei Miyazaki's Football Journey

Kohei Miyazaki was born in Yamaga, Kumamoto, Japan, on February 6, 1981. He grew up loving football. After finishing high school, he began his professional career.

Starting with Sanfrecce Hiroshima

In 1999, Kohei joined Sanfrecce Hiroshima. This team plays in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league. For his first three seasons, he didn't get to play much in official matches. He only appeared in a few games in 2001.

Moving to Avispa Fukuoka

In 2002, Kohei moved to Avispa Fukuoka. This club was in the J2 League, Japan's second division. Here, he became a regular player, meaning he played in most of the team's games. His hard work helped Avispa Fukuoka get promoted to the J1 League in 2006. However, his playing time became less in 2006, and the team went back down to J2 after just one year.

Time with Montedio Yamagata

Kohei joined another J2 League team, Montedio Yamagata, in 2008. Again, he played many matches for them. Montedio Yamagata also managed to get promoted to the J1 League in 2009. From 2010, Kohei's chances to play decreased. In 2011, the team finished last in the J1 League and was relegated back to J2.

Final Years with Tokushima Vortis

In 2012, Kohei moved to Tokushima Vortis, another J2 League club. He continued to play many games for this team. Tokushima Vortis also achieved promotion to the J1 League in 2014. However, just like before, Kohei's playing time became less in 2014. The team finished at the bottom of the J1 League and was relegated to J2 for 2015. Kohei Miyazaki decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2014 season.

Career Totals

Throughout his career, Kohei Miyazaki played in 323 league matches and scored 36 goals. He was part of several teams that moved between Japan's top two football leagues.
