Kohei Miyazaki (宮崎 光平, Miyazaki Kohei, born February 6, 1981) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder for several teams in Japan's top football leagues.

Kohei Miyazaki's Football Journey

Kohei Miyazaki was born in Yamaga, Japan, on February 6, 1981. He loved football from a young age. After finishing high school, he joined his first professional club. This was Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 1999. Sanfrecce Hiroshima played in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football division.

Kohei spent three seasons with Sanfrecce Hiroshima. He played a few matches in 2001. However, he didn't get much playing time during his years there.

Moving to Avispa Fukuoka

In 2002, Kohei decided to move to a new team. He joined Avispa Fukuoka, a club in the J2 League. The J2 League is the second division of Japanese football. At Avispa Fukuoka, Kohei became a very important player. He played in many matches regularly.

His hard work paid off! In 2005, Avispa Fukuoka earned a promotion. This meant they moved up to the J1 League for the 2006 season. Kohei continued to play for them in the top league. However, he didn't play as much in 2006. Unfortunately, Avispa Fukuoka was relegated back to J2 after just one year.

Time with Montedio Yamagata

In 2008, Kohei Miyazaki moved to another J2 League team. This was Montedio Yamagata. Just like with Avispa Fukuoka, Kohei played a lot for Montedio Yamagata. His team did very well. They were promoted to the J1 League in 2009.

Kohei played in the J1 League again with Montedio Yamagata. But from 2010, his chances to play became fewer. In 2011, the team finished last in the J1 League. This meant they were relegated back to the J2 League for 2012.

Final Years at Tokushima Vortis

In 2012, Kohei joined his last professional club. He moved to Tokushima Vortis, another team in the J2 League. Once again, Kohei played many games for his new team. Tokushima Vortis also achieved promotion to the J1 League in 2014.

So, Kohei played in the J1 League for the third time in his career. However, he didn't get to play much in 2014. Tokushima Vortis finished at the bottom of the league. They were relegated back to J2 for the 2015 season. Kohei Miyazaki decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2014 season.

Over his career, Kohei Miyazaki played in 323 league matches. He scored 36 goals in total. He was known for his dedication and for helping his teams achieve promotion to the top league multiple times.
