Koichi Hirono (広野 耕一, Hirono Kōichi, born April 16, 1980) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a goalkeeper, which means his job was to stop the other team from scoring goals. Hirono was born in Nara, Japan.

Koichi Hirono's Football Journey

Koichi Hirono started playing football when he was in high school. He played for Nara Ikuei High School from 1996 to 1998. After high school, he continued his football journey at Aichi Gakuin University. He played for their team from 1999 to 2002.

Joining Professional Clubs

In 2003, Hirono joined his first professional club, Takada FC. This was a big step for him. Later that same year, he moved to a larger team called Nagoya Grampus.
