Koichiro Nagatomo (長友 耕一郎, Nagatomo Kōichirō) is a former Japanese football player. He was born on December 7, 1982. Nagatomo played as a midfielder during his career.
Koichiro Nagatomo's Football Journey
Koichiro Nagatomo was born in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan. After finishing high school, he joined a professional football club called Avispa Fukuoka in 2001. This team played in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league.
However, Nagatomo did not get to play in any matches during his first year. At the end of the 2001 season, Avispa Fukuoka was moved down to the J2 League, which is the second division.
In 2002, Nagatomo finally made his debut. On April 27, he played his first game as a substitute defender against Ventforet Kofu. A few days later, on May 6, he played again as a substitute midfielder against Omiya Ardija. These were the only two matches he played for Avispa Fukuoka.
In 2003, Koichiro Nagatomo moved to a different club called Shizuoka FC. This team played in the Japanese Regional Leagues, which are lower-level leagues. He continued to play for Shizuoka FC until 2006.
