Early Life and Youth Teams
Konrad de la Fuente was born in Miami, Florida, in the United States. His parents are from Haiti and the Dominican Republic. When he was 10 years old, his family moved to Spain. His father got a job at the Haitian consulate in Barcelona.
While playing for a local youth team called CF Damm, Konrad was noticed by scouts. He was then invited to play for one of the biggest soccer clubs in the world, FC Barcelona. He joined Barcelona's famous youth academy, La Masia, in 2013. This academy is known for training many top soccer players.
Playing for Barcelona B
Konrad started playing for Barcelona's reserve team (Barcelona B) on December 1, 2018. This team is where young players get experience before possibly joining the main team. In his first game, he came on as a substitute against Valencia Mestalla.
He made his first start for Barcelona B on December 15, 2019. The team won that game 3–1 against La Nucía. Konrad scored his first goal for Barcelona B on February 2, 2020. It was a winning goal in the final minutes of the game against AE Prat.
Joining the Main Barcelona Team
On September 12, 2020, Konrad played his first game for Barcelona's main team. It was a pre-season match against Gimnàstic Tarragona. This made him the first American player ever to play for Barcelona's first team.
His official debut for Barcelona happened on November 24, 2020. He played in a UEFA Champions League game against Dynamo Kyiv. He also played in another Champions League match and a Copa del Rey game.
Moving to Marseille
On June 29, 2021, Konrad signed with Ligue 1 club Marseille in France. Barcelona kept the right to get 50% of the money if Marseille sold him in the future. He played his first league game for Marseille on August 8 against Montpellier. In that same game, he helped set up a goal, which is called an assist.
Loan to Olympiacos
To get more playing time, Konrad was loaned (temporarily sent) to Olympiacos in Greece on August 13, 2022.
