For many years, Korea, Virginia, had its own post office. A post office is a place where people can send and receive letters and packages. This post office was very important for the community. It opened in 1899, the same year the town was named. It served the people of Korea for over 50 years. However, the post office eventually closed down in 1951. Even without its own post office, the community of Korea continues to be a part of Culpeper County today.
