Kosuke Yamamoto (山本 康裕, Yamamoto Kōsuke) is a Japanese footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder. He currently plays for Matsumoto Yamaga FC.

Kosuke Yamamoto's Football Journey
Starting Out at Júbilo Iwata
Kosuke Yamamoto was born in Hamamatsu, Japan. He began his football journey at Seirei Junior Football Club. Later, in 2002, he joined the youth academy of Júbilo Iwata. He worked hard through the youth teams. By the end of the 2007 season, he earned a spot on the senior team.
His first game for Júbilo was on September 3, 2006. He came into the game as a substitute in a match against Oita Trinita. This was his big step into professional football!
Playing for Albirex Niigata
In June 2014, Kosuke Yamamoto moved to Albirex Niigata. This was a loan move, meaning he played for them for a while before returning to his original team. At Albirex, he reunited with his former coach, Masaaki Yanagishita.
He played his first game for Albirex on July 19, 2014, against Urawa Red Diamonds. Kosuke scored his first goal for Albirex on October 5, 2014. It was in a 3–0 win against Kawasaki Frontale. He scored another important goal on November 22, helping his team win against FC Tokyo. Because he played so well, he stayed for a second season on loan with Albirex Niigata.
Back to Júbilo
After two successful years playing for Albirex, Kosuke Yamamoto returned to Júbilo Iwata for the 2016 season. He continued to play for Júbilo, showing his skills as a midfielder.
Moving to Matsumoto Yamaga FC
In 2024, Kosuke Yamamoto joined Matsumoto Yamaga FC. He continues to be an important player for his team.
