Koya Shimizu's Football Journey
Starting in Youth Teams
Koya Shimizu began his football journey early. From 1998 to 2000, he played for the youth team of Tokyo Verdy. After that, he continued to play football while studying at Kokushikan University from 2001 to 2004.
Playing Professionally
Shimizu started his professional career in 2005. He joined Vegalta Sendai and played there for two years. Later, from 2007 to 2009, he played for Sagan Tosu. In 2010, he briefly returned to Tokyo Verdy. These teams all played in the J2 League, which is a professional football league in Japan.
Current Team: Briobecca Urayasu
Since 2011, Koya Shimizu has been playing for Briobecca Urayasu. He continues to be an important player for his team.
