Krakow, Nebraska facts for kids
Krakow is a small, unincorporated community located in Nance County, Nebraska, in the United States. An "unincorporated community" is a place that doesn't have its own local government, like a mayor or city council. Instead, it's usually managed by the county government.
History
Krakow got its name because many of the first people who settled there came from Poland. They chose to name their new home after the famous city of Kraków in Poland. This was a way for them to remember their homeland and bring a piece of their heritage with them to Nebraska.
