Unique Style and Success

Beyond their catchy music, Kris Kross stood out because of their fashion. Wearing clothes backwards, especially their pants, became their signature look. This style was copied by many young fans. It made them instantly recognizable.

The duo also released other popular songs from their first album. These included Warm It Up and I Missed The Bus. They toured with famous artists like Michael Jackson. They even appeared in his music video for Jam.

Later Albums and Disbanding

After their huge debut, Kris Kross released more albums. Their second album, Da Bomb, came out in 1993. It had a harder sound and featured songs like Alright and I'm Real. While it was still successful, it did not reach the same level of fame as their first album.

Their third and final album, Young, Rich & Dangerous, was released in 1996. This album also had some popular tracks. However, by the late 1990s, the duo's popularity began to fade. Kris Kross officially disbanded around 1998.

Life After Kris Kross

After the group broke up, Chris Kelly and Chris Smith pursued different paths. They occasionally reunited for special performances. Their music continued to be remembered by fans of 90s hip hop.

Sadly, Chris Kelly passed away on May 1, 2013. He was 34 years old. His passing was a sad moment for fans and the music community. Chris Smith has continued to be involved in music.
