Kris Thomas is an American singer. He was born on December 17, 1984. He became well-known after appearing on The Voice. He was on Team Shakira and made it to the Top 10. Kris released his first music collection, an EP, in 2013.

Early Life
Kris Thomas grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. He started singing for people when he was 14. He sang with his church choir.
He also joined the Young Actors Guild. This group helped him learn how to perform on stage. He even tried acting. Later, Kris joined the Stax Music Academy. There, he became a lead singer for a group called StreetCorner Harmonie.
While in college at Middle Tennessee State University, Kris sang in many talent shows. He sang an R&B version of "I Know You Won't" by Carrie Underwood. This song helped him get a music deal with Universal Republic Records.
Music Career
The Voice Journey
Kris Thomas tried out for The Voice on March 25, 2013. This part of the show is called the blind auditions. He sang "Saving All My Love for You" by Whitney Houston. His singing made Shakira choose him for her team.
In the Battle rounds, Kris sang "It Will Rain" with another singer. During the Knockouts, he sang "What a Wonderful World". He sang against Mary Miranda in this round.
Later, in the Live Playoffs, Kris performed "When I Was Your Man". He also sang "I'll Be There". Kris's last performance on the show was "Adorn". He made it to the Top 10 before leaving the competition.
First Music Release
On December 17, 2013, Kris Thomas released his first music collection. It was called an EP, which is like a mini-album. It was named Kris Thomas. The first song from this EP was "Count Me In".
