Kristina Eva Martina Winberg was born on May 27, 1965. She is a Swedish former politician. She used to be a Member of the European Parliament (MEP). This means she was chosen to represent Sweden in the European Parliament. She was part of a group called the Sweden Democrats. She was first elected to this important role in 2014.

Kristina Winberg's Career
Early Life and Work
Before becoming a politician, Kristina Winberg had several different jobs. For eight years, she sold advertisements for a newspaper called Jönköpings-Posten. She also worked as a travel agent for 15 years. Later, she became a nursing assistant. In this job, she helped care for people with dementia.
Starting in Politics
Kristina Winberg first got involved in local politics. In 2010, she tried to become a member of the Riksdag. This is the main parliament in Sweden. She also became a member of the city council in Jönköping Municipality in 2010. She still holds this position today.
Joining the European Parliament
On January 27, 2014, Kristina Winberg was chosen as her party's top candidate. She would represent them in the European Parliament. On May 25, 2014, she made history. Kristina Winberg and Peter Lundgren became the first people from their party to be elected as Members of the European Parliament.
Later Political Events
In December 2016, Kristina Winberg was not allowed to attend a meeting. This meeting was with the Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister, Tzipi Hotovely. This happened because of some views linked to her party. As a result, another important person, Becky Norton Dunlop, canceled the meeting in protest.
A few days before the 2019 elections, Kristina Winberg faced another challenge. She was removed from her party's list of candidates. Soon after, she had to leave the Sweden Democrats party completely.
