Kristopher Schau's Media Work
Kristopher Schau has been involved in many popular radio and television shows. Often, he worked alongside his brother, Alexander Schau. Some of their well-known radio shows include XL, Karate, and Et Norge I Krig.
On television, Kristopher has appeared in shows like XLTV and Team Antonsen (from 2004). He also created the TV series Dag and One Night with his friend Øystein Karlsen.
TV Show: De 7 dødssyndene
In 2007, Kristopher Schau launched a television show called De 7 dødssyndene. This show explored the concept of the seven deadly sins. In each episode, Kristopher tried to experience one of these "sins."
He and his co-hosts, Øystein Karlsen and Morten Ståle Nilsen, also shared information about the history of these ideas. Some people in Norway did not like the show. They organized protests and asked companies to stop advertising during the program. Even with these protests, the show remained very popular.
Creative Projects and Experiments
Kristopher Schau is known for his unique and sometimes unusual projects. One time, he lived inside a brown Opel Rekord car for a whole week. This event was even shown on television in daily updates.
Another project he did was called "Forfall" (which means decline in English). For this project, Kristopher spent an entire week trying to live as unhealthily as possible. He wanted to see how his body and mind would change.
During this week, he mainly focused on eating unhealthy foods and smoking. He stayed on display in a shop window in Oslo, so people could watch him. The project was also shown on TV and streamed online. By the end of the week, he had gained about 10 kilograms (22 pounds). His cholesterol levels also went up very high. At one point, he almost got a heatstroke because the temperature in the shop window became too hot. The heat experiment had to be stopped early.
Music and Comics
Besides his work in TV and radio, Kristopher Schau has been a part of many different music bands. Some of these bands include Gartnerlosjen, Hurra Torpedo, Kåper Gjete, Sinsen, Reidar Roses Orkester, Datsun, The ..., Mongo Ninja, White Urine, and The Dogs.
He also wrote a Norwegian underground comic book called Margarin. This comic series is no longer being published.
