Krunoslav Lovrek (born September 11, 1979) is a former professional footballer from Croatia. He played as a forward, which means his main job on the field was to score goals.
Playing Career Highlights
Krunoslav Lovrek started his football journey in Croatia. He played for NK Zagreb for many years, from 1998 to 2003, and then again from 2006 to 2008. During his time with NK Zagreb, he played in many matches and scored a good number of goals.
He also played for other clubs in different countries. In 2004, he went to Japan to play for Cerezo Osaka. After that, he returned to Croatia to play for Hajduk Split.
Lovrek's career took him to Belgium, where he played for Lierse. He also played in Turkey for Eskişehirspor. Later, he moved to South Korea to join Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, where he was a key player for a couple of seasons.
In 2012, Krunoslav Lovrek signed a one-year contract with Sydney FC in Australia. He joined his new teammates for training in July 2012. However, after the 2012–13 A-League season, Sydney FC did not make it to the finals. Because of this, Lovrek and several other players left the club.
After his time in Australia, he played for Qingdao Jonoon in China and then returned to Croatia to play for NK Sesvete. Towards the end of his career, he also played for an amateur team in Austria called USV Dechantskirchen.
