Kulvinder Ghir is a talented British actor, comedian, and writer. He is famous for his roles in TV shows and movies. Many people know him from the funny sketch show Goodness Gracious Me. He also played Aslam in the film Rita, Sue and Bob Too! and Poly Verisof in the TV series Foundation.

Early Life and First Steps
Kulvinder Ghir was born in Nairobi, Kenya. His parents were of Indian Punjabi heritage and followed the Sikh faith. He grew up in Leeds, England, in an area called Chapeltown.
Kulvinder started performing on stage when he was 13 years old. He even performed in comedy clubs between the ages of 15 and 17. After that, he decided to study acting at a drama school in London.
Kulvinder Ghir's Career Journey
Kulvinder Ghir made his first TV appearance in 1981. He was a teenager on a show called The Extraordinary People Show. At that time, he was interested in animation. He was one of three teenagers who got to ask questions to the famous animator Gerry Anderson.
His next TV role was in 1985. He played Davy Malik in the BBC drama Howards' Way. His big break came in 1987 with the British film Rita, Sue and Bob Too!. Since then, he has worked a lot in films, TV shows, and theatre plays.
Goodness Gracious Me and Voice Acting
Kulvinder is best known for being one of the main actors in the BBC sketch comedy Goodness Gracious Me. This show was popular on both radio and TV.
He is also known for lending his voice to many cartoon characters. He was the voice of Ajay Bains in Postman Pat. He also voiced characters in Chop Socky Chooks and the 2015 version of Bob the Builder.
Other Notable Roles
In 1995, Kulvinder's play Dusky Warriors was shown at the Theatre Royal Stratford East.
In 2009, he appeared in the film 31 North 62 East as Tariq. From 2009 to 2011, he was in the BBC Three comedy series Lunch Monkeys. He played Mohammed Khan, a father character.
In 2013, he was in the UK film Jadoo. He also appeared in the TV show Big School as a school bus driver. Since 2013, he has played Cyril in the popular show Still Open All Hours.
In 2019, he played the father of the main character in the movie Blinded by the Light.
