Kurt Willy Oddekalv (born July 27, 1957 – died January 11, 2021) was a Norwegian environmentalist. This means he was a person who worked hard to protect nature and the environment. He became well-known for his strong opinions and for starting his own environmental group.

Protecting Nature
Kurt Oddekalv was very passionate about protecting the environment. He was first part of a group called the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature. However, in 1993, after a meeting, he was no longer a member of this group.
Starting His Own Group
Because he wanted to continue his work for nature, Kurt Oddekalv decided to create his own environmental organization. He named it Green Warriors of Norway. He led this group from the time he started it until he passed away. The Green Warriors of Norway worked on many different environmental issues.
Military Service
Before his work as an environmentalist, Kurt Oddekalv served in the Norwegian military. He was a sergeant, which is a leader in the army. During his time there, he was in charge of a young soldier named Jens Stoltenberg. Jens Stoltenberg later became the Prime Minister of Norway.
A Different Belief
In 2015, Kurt Oddekalv shared a belief that was not widely accepted. He said he believed in something called "chemtrails." This is a theory that some people believe, but it has been strongly questioned by scientists and others who look for facts.
Later Life and Passing
In his later years, Kurt Oddekalv faced some health challenges. He had several strokes, which are serious medical events. Because of this, he slowly started to step back from being in the news and public eye.
Kurt Oddekalv passed away on January 11, 2021, when he was 63 years old. He died after falling through the ice near his home.
