Kyline's Career Journey
Starting Out: 2010–2020
Kyline first appeared on television in 2010. It was on the talent show Star Circle Quest: Search for the Next Kiddie Superstars. She made it to the top ten contestants. However, she was the first one to be eliminated from the show. Even though she didn't win, she was signed by Star Magic in 2011.
In 2013, Kyline acted alongside Andrea Brillantes in the remake of Anna Liza. This show was originally from GMA Network. At her audition for Annaliza, she immediately got the role of the villain. Kyline has said that her acting skills were shaped by this show. She learned a lot from her co-stars like Zanjoe Marudo and Kaye Abad.
Her next supporting roles were Jessa Boborol in Pangako Sa 'Yo (2015–2016) and Chloe in Born for You (2016). Kyline also made her movie debut in 2015. She had small roles in the films Hamog and Etiquette for Mistresses. Her contract with Star Magic ended in 2017.
In March 2018, Kyline signed a new deal with Sparkle GMA Artist Center. She then played Cheska De Villa, a villain, in the TV series Kambal, Karibal (2017–2018). She first tried out for a smaller role in the series. But when GMA Network executives saw how good her acting was, they gave her a different, bigger role. Her co-stars in the series, like Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix, helped her gain new acting experiences.
Kyline's performance in Kambal, Karibal was highly praised. It won her a PMPC Star Award for Television. This role became her big breakthrough.
In 2018, Kyline also co-hosted two variety shows: Sunday PinaSaya and Studio 7. She released her first album, titled Kyline, in September of that year. In 2019, she played Anna Sevilla / Elsa Dela Cruz in the musical series Inagaw na Bituin. To prepare for this role, Kyline read scripts and watched videos about acting.
