La Cruz is a small city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. It is located at 23°55′17″N 106°53′31″W / 23.92139°N 106.89194°W. In 2010, about 15,657 people lived there.
La Cruz is also known as La Cruz de Elota. It is the main town of the Elota area. This means it is where the local government offices are located. You can find many shops and schools in La Cruz. There is also a beautiful beach called Ceuta's Beach, which is only 8 kilometers (about 5 miles) away.
Location and Travel
La Cruz is located between two important cities in Sinaloa. To the north, about 120 kilometers (74.5 miles) away, is Culiacán. Culiacán is the capital city of Sinaloa. To the south, about 100 kilometers (62 miles) away, is Mazatlán. Mazatlán is a very popular place for tourists and has a big harbor.
