Lachlan Maclean, 3rd Laird of Torloisk, was an important Scottish leader in the 1600s. He helped manage the lands of the MacLean clan. He did this alongside Lauchlan Maclean, 2nd Laird of Brolas. They took care of things when the chief, Sir John Maclean, 4th Baronet, was too young to rule.
A Respected Leader
Lachlan Maclean was known as a very brave and skilled gentleman. Many people thought he was well-suited for important roles in his country. But he preferred to focus on helping his own clan.
