The story of Ladson Presbyterian Church began a long time ago. It started as a small chapel in 1838. This chapel was created by members who came from the First Presbyterian Church. It was a new place for their growing community to worship.

Over time, the church grew. The current building was mostly constructed in 1896. This new building replaced the older chapel. It has served the congregation ever since.

Architecture and Design

The Ladson Presbyterian Church building is made of red brick. It has one main story built over a slightly raised basement. The roof slopes down from the front. This style is called Renaissance Revival. This means its design was inspired by old European buildings from the Renaissance period.

A cool feature of the church is its two brick towers. These towers are at the front of the building. They make the church stand out. The design was created by architects Ziegler, Daniel G. & Co. and H.G. Heidt.
