Lady Abdullah Haroon (born 1886, died 1966) was a very important woman whose real name was Nusrat Khanum ( نصرت خانم in Urdu). She was well-known in society and worked for good causes before Pakistan became an independent country.

A Life of Purpose

Lady Abdullah Haroon was born in Iran into a Shia family. Later, she moved to Karachi, which is now a big city in Pakistan. In 1914, she married Abdullah Haroon, who was a local businessman and also a politician.

She was very active and involved in many groups that helped people. In 1943, she was chosen to be the President of the All India Women Muslim League. This group worked to support Muslim women across India. Later, in 1945, she became the Vice-President of the All Pakistan Women's Association. This important organization was started by Begum Ra'ana Liaquat Ali Khan and focused on helping women in the region that would become Pakistan.
