Rochelle Ryndia Ray is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and music producer. She is better known by her stage name, Lady Crush. She was born in Camden, New Jersey.

Lady Crush is famous for being one of the youngest female rappers. She recorded music on vinyl records during the early days of hip-hop music. Her work was also featured in the 2021 book 'The Motherlode: 100+ Women Who Made Hip-Hop' by Clover Hope.

Early Career and First Songs

Lady Crush started her rapping journey in 1984. She won a citywide radio contest, which was a big deal. This win led to her being a guest on Tim Greene's song, "The Facts of Life." This song was released by SugarScoop Records.

The song became even more popular later on. A famous remixer named COD created a new version called "The Dub of Life." This new 12-inch record was officially released in early 1985.

Starting a Solo Path

After her success with Tim Greene, Lady Crush decided to go solo. In 1985, she left the group she was with. She then launched her own music career.

Her song, "MC Perpetrators," is now considered a very special and rare classic rap record. It is highly valued by collectors around the world.

Return to Music

After more than 30 years, Lady Crush returned to the hip-hop scene in 2018. She released new music as an adult artist. She put out two Electro hop singles. These songs were part of her "Fifty Shades of ..." series.

An EP (a mini-album) called "Fifty Shades of ... EP" soon followed. This EP included new versions of her earlier songs from the series.
