Laikhurembi facts for kids
"Laikhurembi" (Meitei: ꯂꯥꯢꯈꯨꯔꯦꯝꯕꯤ) is the goddess in ancient Meitei mythology and religion. She is the chief Queen of Thongaren, the god of death and the ruler of the underworld. She is the daughter of Lairen Humchouba. Her pantheon is maintained particularly by the Taibungjam clan. She is said to be equivalent to Hindu goddess Durga.
Temple
There is a temple dedicated to the goddess in Uripok region in Imphal West district of Manipur.
