Lajas Adentro is a small community located in the San Félix District of the Chiriquí Province in Panama. It is known as a corregimiento, which is like a local administrative area or a small town district in Panama.

Lajas Adentro covers a land area of about 19.6 square kilometers (around 7.6 square miles). In 2010, its population was 741 people. This means that about 38 people lived in each square kilometer.
How Lajas Adentro Was Formed
This community was officially created on March 7, 1997. It was established by a special law called Law 10. Later, a few other laws, like Law 5 in 1998 and Law 69 also in 1998, helped to make its boundaries and rules even clearer. Back in 2000, the population of Lajas Adentro was 718 people.
