Lake Clay is a beautiful freshwater lake located in Lake Placid, Florida. It's found on the northeast edge of the town. This lake covers an area of about 353 acres, which is quite large!

Most of Lake Clay is surrounded by homes. There are only a few small, undeveloped grassy spots left around its edges. A smaller, round lake called Blue Lake (Florida) is located about 610 feet west of Lake Clay.

Exploring Lake Clay

Lake Clay is a great spot for people who enjoy being on the water. It has two public boat ramps, making it easy for everyone to access the lake.

Where to Find Boat Ramps

  • One boat ramp is on the east side of the lake. You can find it at 1650 Lake Clay Drive.
  • The other boat ramp is on the west side. Its address is 1300 Lake Clay Drive.

Lake Clay Drive is a road that goes around about three-fourths of the lake. This makes it easy to drive around and see different parts of Lake Clay.

Swimming and Fishing at Lake Clay

Even though Lake Clay is popular for boating, it does not have a public swimming beach. So, if you're looking to swim, this might not be the best spot.

There isn't much information available about the types of fish that live in Lake Clay. However, many freshwater lakes in Florida are home to different kinds of fish, like bass and bluegill.
