History of Lake Lorelei

Geography of Lake Lorelei

Lake Lorelei is found in the northern part of Brown County, Ohio. It is specifically in the western area of Perry Township. The community is built around a lake, which is also called Lake Lorelei. This lake is actually a reservoir, meaning it's a man-made lake that holds water. It was formed on a stream called Glady Run. Glady Run flows into the East Fork of the Little Miami River.

State Route 131 runs along the southern edge of Lake Lorelei. Also, U.S. Route 50 touches the community's southeast corner. Lake Lorelei is about 3 miles (4.8 km) west of the village of Fayetteville. It is also about 34 miles (55 km) east of downtown Cincinnati.
