Lake Nona Golf & Country Club is a special, private community in Orlando, Florida. It's a place where people live and play golf. This big community, about 600 acres (2.4 square kilometers), has an amazing 18-hole golf course. A famous designer named Tom Fazio created it. The club is surrounded by beautiful lakes and lots of oak, pine, and cypress trees. You can find many different kinds of homes here, including custom-built houses.

The Golf Course
The main golf course at Lake Nona was designed by Tom Fazio in 1986. It's known as one of the top 100 golf courses in the world! The course goes through natural pine forests and oak tree areas. It also includes three beautiful lakes. The course offers different challenges for players. It can be as short as 4,221 yards (3,860 meters) from the front tees. Or it can be as long as 7,200 yards (6,584 meters) from the championship tees.

Golf Tournaments Hosted
Lake Nona has been chosen to host many important golf tournaments. These include both professional and amateur events.
Professional Tournaments
- Solheim Cup: The very first Solheim Cup was held here in 1990.
- World Cup of Golf: This big international event came to Lake Nona in 1993.
- U.S. Open qualifier: Golfers tried to qualify for the U.S. Open here in 1993, 2003, and 2009.
- U.S. Women's Open qualifier: Women golfers also tried to qualify for their U.S. Open here in 1993.
- Tavistock Cup: This special team event was held here in 2004, 2007, 2009, and 2012.
- Gainbridge LPGA (LPGA Tour): This professional women's tournament took place in 2021.
- Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions (LPGA Tour): This tournament has been held here in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Amateur Tournaments
- U.S. Senior Amateur: This event for older amateur golfers was held in 2010.
- Southern Amateur: This tournament for amateur golfers in the southern U.S. was held in 1994 and 2008.
