Lakelands is a friendly residential area, also known as a suburb, located in New South Wales, Australia. It's part of the City of Lake Macquarie. This suburb is about 16 kilometres (10 mi) southwest of Newcastle's main city area. Lakelands is also very close to the northern end of Lake Macquarie. It used to be part of the nearby suburb, Warners Bay.
