Lawrence Curtis Demic (born June 27, 1957), known as Larry Demic, is a former American basketball player. He played as a power forward in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the New York Knicks. Larry also played in the Philippines and other leagues.

Larry Demic's Early Life and College Career

Larry Demic was born on June 27, 1957. He grew up in Gary, Indiana. Larry went to Westside High School in Gary.

Playing for the Arizona Wildcats

After high school, Larry played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats. He played there from 1975 to 1979. In his final year, 1979, he was chosen for the First-team All-Pac-10 team. This means he was one of the best players in his college conference.

Larry Demic in the NBA

In 1979, Larry Demic was picked in the 1979 NBA draft. The New York Knicks chose him as the ninth overall pick in the first round. This was a big achievement for him.

Playing for the New York Knicks

Larry played for the New York Knicks for three seasons. He was with the team from 1979 to 1982. He played as a power forward, a position where players are strong and good at scoring close to the basket and rebounding.
