Las Vegas (pronounced las VAY-gas) is a town and a municipality in Honduras. It is located in the Santa Bárbara area of the country. As of 2023, about 11,270 people live in the town itself. The wider municipality is home to many more residents.
People of Las Vegas
In 2013, a census counted the people living in the Las Vegas municipality. The total population was 23,980.
Most people in Las Vegas are Mestizo. This means they have a mix of European and Indigenous (native) ancestry. A smaller number of people are White, Indigenous, or of African heritage.
