Laura Itzel Castillo Juárez was born on November 16, 1957. She is a talented architect and a well-known politician from Mexico. She belongs to the Labor Party, which is also known as PT.

Laura Itzel Castillo has served as a Deputy in the Mexican Congress. A Deputy is like a representative who helps make laws for the country. She represented the Federal District, which is now called Mexico City. She was a Deputy during two different periods: the LVII and the LXI Legislatures. In the year 2000, Laura Itzel Castillo was given an important job. She became the Secretary of Urban Development and Housing for the Federal District.
