Laura Victoria Lehmann-Pessumal (born July 16, 1994) is a famous Filipino actress, TV host, and model. She is also known for winning the Miss World Philippines 2017 beauty pageant. After winning, she represented the Philippines at the Miss World 2017 competition in China. There, she made it into the Top 40 finalists.

Early Life and School
Laura Lehmann has a mixed background, with family roots from Germany, Switzerland, Spain, and the Philippines. She was raised by her single mother.
For her early schooling, Laura went to Assumption College San Lorenzo. Later, she attended Beacon International School and then graduated from the International School Manila. She also studied at Occidental College before moving to the Ateneo de Manila University to finish her studies.
When she was younger, Laura was a talented softball player. She was even part of the Philippines women's national softball team. She planned to play for Ateneo, but then she got a scholarship offer from Occidental College and decided to go there instead.
Her Career Journey
Laura Lehmann began her career as a courtside reporter. This means she reported live from the sidelines during basketball games for the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the UAAP Season 77 and 78 seasons. In 2015, she also worked as a reporter for the Shakey's V-League, which is a volleyball league.
In 2016, Laura became a host for two TV shows: Upfront at the UAAP on ABS-CBN Sports and Action and Listed on Lifestyle.
In 2018, Laura joined GMA Network, a big TV company in the Philippines. In 2020, she became one of the hosts for "The Game," a main sports news show on One Sports.
Beauty Pageant Adventures
Binibining Pilipinas 2014
On March 30, 2014, Laura took part in the Binibining Pilipinas 2014 pageant. This is a major beauty competition in the Philippines. She did very well and was named the 1st Runner-Up.
Miss World Philippines 2017
On September 3, 2017, Laura competed in the Miss World Philippines 2017 pageant. She won the title, taking over from the previous winner, Catriona Gray.
A year later, on October 7, 2018, Laura crowned Katarina Rodriguez as the new Miss World Philippines at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines.
Miss World 2017
After winning Miss World Philippines, Laura represented her country at the Miss World 2017 pageant. This international competition was held in Sanya, China. Laura was one of the Top 40 semifinalists. She also won a special award called "Beauty With A Purpose," which recognizes contestants who do great work for charity.
Personal Life
Since 2014, Laura Lehmann has been in a relationship with basketball player Von Pessumal. They announced their engagement in May 2020. On May 23, 2021, Laura shared that she and Von Pessumal were married in a civil ceremony earlier that year.
Laura studied Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University.
