Katarina Sonja Rodriguez is a talented Filipino actress, athlete, and model. She is also known for being a beauty queen. She won the title of Miss World Philippines 2018. She also represented the Philippines in the Miss World 2018 competition. Before that, she was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017. She also placed as 1st Runner-Up in the Miss Intercontinental 2017 pageant.
Katarina became well-known after appearing on the TV show Asia's Next Top Model in 2014. She was one of the top three contestants.

Early Life and Education
Katarina Rodriguez was born in Orlando, Florida, in the United States. Her parents are both Filipino. Her mother is from Manila, and her father is from Davao. Growing up, she often traveled between the United States and the Philippines.
She went to high school in Orlando. She later moved to the Philippines permanently with her family. In Manila, she studied at De La Salle University. She earned two degrees, one in business management and another in philosophy.
Katarina is also a cycling instructor. She is a competitive long-distance runner. She was part of the De La Salle University Women's Track and Field Team.
Modeling Career
Katarina's friends encouraged her to try out for Asia's Next Top Model. She was chosen as one of the final three contestants for the show's second season. She finished as a runner-up in the competition.
Pageantry Journey
After her time on Asia's Next Top Model, Katarina caught the eye of Jonas Gaffud. He is a well-known trainer for beauty queens. He encouraged her to try out for beauty pageants.
Binibining Pilipinas 2017
Katarina joined the Binibining Pilipinas 2017 pageant. She won the title of Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017. The event took place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on April 30, 2017. This win gave her the chance to represent the Philippines at Miss Intercontinental 2017.
On March 18, 2018, Katarina crowned Karen Gallman as the next Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental. This happened at the Binibining Pilipinas 2018 pageant.
Miss Intercontinental 2017
Katarina represented the Philippines at the Miss Intercontinental 2017 pageant. It was held in Hurghada, Egypt, on January 24, 2018. She finished as 1st runner-up. The winner was Veronica Salas Vallejo from Mexico. Katarina also won the Miss Media Popularity award. She was also 1st runner-up for Best in National Costume.
Miss World Philippines 2018
Representing Davao City, Katarina was crowned Miss World Philippines 2018. The previous winner, Laura Lehmann, crowned her on October 7, 2018.
On September 15, 2019, Katarina crowned Michelle Dee as her successor. This took place at the Miss World Philippines 2019 pageant.
Miss World 2018
Katarina represented the Philippines at the Miss World 2018 competition. It was held in Sanya, China, on December 8, 2018. She was considered a favorite contestant. However, she did not place in the semifinals. This ended the Philippines' seven-year streak of placing in the competition. Vanessa Ponce of Mexico won the event.

Personal Life
Katarina Rodriguez is a strong supporter of peace. She also works to raise awareness about HIV-AIDS. In 2019, she became an ambassador for Save the Children Philippines. In October 2021, she shared that she was expecting a son with her partner, businessman Niño Barbers.
