Laurie Colbert and Dominique Cardona are a great team. They are famous for their short film called Below the Belt, which came out in 1999. This film was even nominated for a Genie Award in 2000. A Genie Award was a big prize for Canadian films, similar to what the Canadian Screen Awards are today.
They also made a feature film called Margarita in 2012. This movie was very popular and won the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at the Inside Out Film and Video Festival. An Audience Award means that people who watched the film loved it the most!
