Lavell Maurice Crawford, born on November 11, 1968, is a well-known American comedian and actor. He is famous for playing the character Huell Babineaux in the popular TV shows Breaking Bad (from 2011 to 2013) and its spin-off Better Call Saul (from 2017 to 2022). Lavell also appeared as Gus Patch in the Netflix movie The Ridiculous 6 in 2015. His comedy special, Comedy Vaccine, was even nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album in 2022.

Early Life and Education
Lavell Maurice Crawford was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on November 11, 1968. He grew up in a nearby town called Pagedale. Lavell has two sisters, Elonda and Erica. As a child, he faced challenges with his weight. He also had a scary experience when he almost drowned at age ten. Lavell finished high school at Pattonville High School in 1986. After that, he went to Missouri Western State College. There, he studied computer science.
Comedy and Acting Career

Lavell Crawford started his career as a professional stand-up comedian in 1990. In the 1990s, he often performed on BET's ComicView. In 2007, he was a contestant on NBC's Last Comic Standing. He made it to the final episode but lost to Jon Reep. In 2011, Lavell recorded his comedy special, Lavell Crawford: Can a Brother Get Some Love, in St. Louis.
From 2011 to 2022, Crawford played Saul Goodman's bodyguard, Huell Babineaux, in the crime drama series Breaking Bad and its spin-off, Better Call Saul. He also played Huell in a short comedy video called Huell's Rules. Lavell has also appeared in other funny TV shows. These include It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Tosh.0, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, and Aqua TV Show Show.
Personal Life
In March 2016, Lavell Crawford's weight reached about 500 pounds. After having a type of surgery called gastric sleeve surgery, his weight dropped to 298 pounds by August 2017.
