About Leamon Green
Leamon Green was born in 1959 in a town called Anniston, Alabama. He studied art at several different schools. He earned a special degree called a Master of Fine Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1985. Before that, he got a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio in 1982. He also studied at Concord College from 1977 to 1979.
In 2007, Leamon Green received a special award called a Fulbright award. This award allowed him to travel to Tanzania in Africa. He lived there for a year, teaching art and creating new works.
Today, Leamon Green is a professor in the fine arts department at Texas Southern University in Houston. He teaches young artists there. His wife's name is Susan Wallace.
You can find some of Leamon Green's artwork in the collection of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. This is a big museum where many important artworks are kept.
