About Leamon Green
Leamon Green was born in 1959 in Anniston, Alabama. He studied art at several universities. He earned a Master of Fine Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia. He also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Cleveland Institute of Art.
In 2007, Mr. Green received a special award called the Fulbright award. This award allowed him to travel to Tanzania in Africa. He lived and taught art there for a whole year.
Today, Leamon Green is a professor at Texas Southern University in Houston. He teaches art to students there. His wife, Susan Wallace, is also involved in art education. She taught art history to students who won a state championship.
Mr. Green's artwork is very important. Some of his pieces are kept in the collection of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. This is a big museum where many people can see his art.
