These included the South Sydney Rabbitohs, St. George Illawarra Dragons, and Penrith Panthers. He was known for his speed and ability to score tries.

Early Life and Start in Rugby League

Lee Hookey was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He grew up loving rugby league. He began his professional career in the late 1990s.

First Steps with South Sydney

Hookey made his first big game debut in 1999. He played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. This game was at the Sydney Football Stadium. He also played in South Sydney's last game before they were temporarily out of the league. This was against the Parramatta Eels in 1999.

Playing for St. George Illawarra

In 2000, Lee Hookey joined the St. George Illawarra Dragons. He quickly became an important player for the team. He played regularly and showed his skills.

Top Try Scorer
