About Leesa Streifler's Career

Leesa Streifler was born in Winnipeg. She studied art at the University of Manitoba. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1980. Later, she got her Master of Fine Arts from Hunter College in 1983. She lived in New York from 1980 to 1986.

In 1986, she started teaching art. She taught painting and drawing. This was at the University of Regina. Leesa retired from teaching in 2019. She is now a professor emerita. This means she is a retired professor.
