Lego Quatro was a special series of Lego building toys. It was made for very young children, specifically those aged 1 to 3 years old. This series launched in 2004. Its main goal was to create bricks that were super easy for tiny hands to hold and connect.

What Makes Quatro Bricks Special?
Lego Quatro bricks were much larger than other Lego types. They were four times the length, height, and width of standard Lego bricks. They were also twice the size of Lego Duplo bricks. This meant they were eight times bigger in total volume than Duplo bricks!
These bricks were also a bit softer than Duplo bricks. You could press them in slightly, which made them even safer for very young children. Even with their big size, Quatro bricks could connect with Duplo bricks. Duplo bricks, in turn, connect with traditional Lego bricks. This meant you could mix and match them!
One special Quatro set even included a unique minifigure. This minifigure was made from a single piece. It was much larger than a regular Duplo minifigure.

The official logo for Lego Quatro featured a friendly blue elephant. This elephant character was actually a familiar face! It was the same elephant used in the earlier, discontinued Lego Baby series. For Quatro, the elephant simply appeared in a different color.
