Band History

Starting the Band (2006)

In March 2006, Hiro Asakawa's old band broke up. He then asked Takehiro Kanata to start a new band with him. Hiroki Tanaka, who was in Kanata's previous band, joined them. Soon after, Shintarou Yamamoto, a high school friend of Kanata, also joined. The new band, lego big morl, began playing music mainly in Osaka.

First Tour and New Music (2007-2008)

In March 2007, the band went on their first live tour. They played shows in big cities like Tokyo and Yokohama. They also visited Ibaraki and Gunma. During these shows, they gave away free CDs called "テキーラグッバイ" (Tequila Goodbye) to their fans.

The year 2008 was a big year for the band. More people started to discover their music. They released a special single called "moonwalk for a week". This song became very popular on the independent music charts. They also released their first mini-album, "Tuesday and Thursday". From this time on, lego big morl started playing at many large music festivals and events.

In December 2008, they released their first official single, "Ray". This song was chosen to be part of the soundtrack for the Fuji TV drama and movie "赤い糸" (Akai ito). This helped their music reach an even wider audience.
