Becoming Little Mix on The X Factor

Little Mix started their journey on The X Factor as four separate singers. Each girl was trying out on her own in the "Girls" category. But the judges had a great idea! They decided to put the four girls together to form a new group.

At first, the group was called Rhythmix. Their helper, or mentor, on the show was Tulisa Contostavlos. She is a singer known for being part of the R&B group N-Dubz. Little Mix won the competition in December 2011. They beat out other talented singers like Marcus Collins and Amelia Lily in the final show.
