Marcus Collins is a singer from England, born on May 15, 1988. He became well-known in 2011 when he was a finalist on the TV show The X Factor. On the show, he was guided by Gary Barlow, a famous singer from the band Take That.
After The X Factor, Marcus released his first album, called Marcus Collins. This album was made by the Metrophonic team, who also worked with stars like Whitney Houston and Cher. His album reached the top 10 in the UK. His first song from the album was "Seven Nation Army", which was a cover of a popular song by The White Stripes. This song also made it into the top 10.

Marcus Collins's Music Journey
Early Music Days
Before he became a solo artist, Marcus Collins was part of a boyband called Eton Road. This band became famous on the third series of The X Factor. Marcus wasn't on the show with them at first. He joined the band later, after one of the original members left.
His Time on The X Factor in 2011
In 2011, Marcus decided to try out for The X Factor as a solo singer. He sang for the judges: Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland, and Tulisa. All four judges liked his audition, and he moved on to the next stages.
He made it through to the "judges' houses" round. There, Gary Barlow chose him to be one of the singers in his "Boys" category. Marcus was one of the few contestants who made it to the live shows. He competed against over 200,000 other people to reach the grand final at Wembley Arena.

After The X Factor: Album and Stage Shows
In January 2012, Marcus Collins signed a music deal with RCA Records. He then released his first album, Marcus Collins, in March 2012. It reached number seven on the UK Albums Chart. His first single from the album was "Seven Nation Army", which reached number nine on the UK Singles Chart. He also released "Mercy" as a second single.
In October 2012, Marcus announced he would be acting in the musical Hairspray. He played the role of Seaweed Stubbs during the UK tour from February to September 2013. After the tour, he even took part in a charity skydive!
Since then, Marcus has continued to perform in stage shows. He appeared in Kinky Boots the musical in London's West End. In September 2013, he shared that he had left RCA Records. He wanted to make different kinds of music. He has also toured playing Hud in the musical Hair. As of 2023, he is playing Andre in the musical Mrs Doubtfire at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London.
