History of Leonardsburg
Leonardsburg was first planned out in 1852. It was named after a person named A. Leonard, who opened the very first store there. In the same year, 1852, a post office was opened in Leonardsburg, which was important for sending and receiving mail. The name of the post office was slightly changed in 1893, and it stayed open until 1972.
