The Lepage River is a small river located in Quebec, Canada. It flows into the Senneterre River. This river is part of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region. It passes through the areas of Senneterre.
The main activity around the river is forestry, which means working with trees. Tourism is also important in this area. The river's surface usually freezes from mid-December to mid-April. It is generally safe to travel on the ice from mid-December to late March.
Where the Lepage River Flows
The Lepage River is surrounded by other important water bodies.
- To the north, you'll find Parent Lake (Abitibi) and the Mégiscane River.
- To the east are the Mégiscane River and the Tavernier River.
- To the south, there is Guillemette Creek, Guéguen Lake, and the Saint Vincent River.

River's Beginning and End
The Lepage River starts from a small creek in a wet area. This is where two smaller streams meet. The starting point is about 339 meters (1,112 feet) above sea level.
From its start, the Lepage River flows for about 20.2 kilometers (12.6 miles). It goes through forests and some wetlands.
- It flows north for about 3.8 kilometers (2.4 miles).
- Then, it turns east and flows for about 8.5 kilometers (5.3 miles) near the Canadian National Railway.
- Finally, it flows north and then northwest for about 7.9 kilometers (4.9 miles) until it reaches its mouth.
The river ends when it flows into the eastern side of the Senneterre River. This meeting point is also in a forest area. It is about 3.8 kilometers (2.4 miles) northeast of the railway bridge over the Bell River in Senneterre.
What's in a Name?
The name "Lepage" comes from a French family name. The official name "Lepage River" was given on December 5, 1968. This happened when the Commission de toponymie du Québec was created.
