Leslie Allen Jordan (born April 29, 1955 – died October 24, 2022) was a well-known American actor, comedian, writer, and singer. He was famous for his funny roles on TV shows like Will & Grace, where he played Beverley Leslie. He also appeared in the American Horror Story series and The Cool Kids. Later in his career, he became very popular on Instagram during the COVID-19 pandemic for his humorous videos. He also wrote a book about his life called How Y'all Doing?.

Early Life and Beginnings
Leslie Jordan was born on April 29, 1955, and grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He went to Brainerd High School. Leslie shared that his mother, Peggy Ann Jordan, was always very supportive of him. His father, Allen Bernard Jordan, was in the United States Army Reserve. Sadly, his father died in a plane crash when Leslie was almost 12 years old.
In 1982, Leslie moved to Los Angeles to start his acting career.

Leslie Jordan started acting in 1986. He quickly became known in Hollywood for being short and having a distinct Southern accent. He made guest appearances on many popular TV shows. These included Murphy Brown, Will & Grace, Star Trek: Voyager, and American Horror Story.
Winning an Emmy Award
One of his most famous roles was as Beverley Leslie on the TV show Will & Grace. He played a funny rival to the character Karen. For this role, Leslie won an Emmy Award in 2006. In 2014, Leslie joined the British reality show Celebrity Big Brother. He was a housemate in the fourteenth season of the show. Later, he starred in the sitcom The Cool Kids from 2018 to 2019. He also played the character Phil in the Fox sitcom Call Me Kat from 2021 to 2022. In 2021, he appeared as a guest on The Masked Singer.
