Letters From Wolfie is a children's novel written by Patti Sherlock. This exciting story is about a boy named Mark Cantrell and his dog, Wolfie. They live in the United States during the Vietnam War, a big conflict that happened many years ago.
The book is based on real events. It also shares a strong message against war, showing why many people didn't want the Vietnam War to continue. Letters from Wolfie won the 2005 Merial Human-Animal Bond Award from the Dog Writers Association of America. It was also nominated for several other awards, including the Young Readers Medal in California. The book has even been translated into Japanese!

- Claire: Mark's friend and crush. She helps Mark when he needs it most. Claire is also against the war.
- Eve: Mark's mother. She strongly opposes the war and worries about her family.
- Effie: Mark's kind neighbor. She thinks Mark is very smart and often bakes him delicious desserts.
- Randall: Mark's dad. He strongly believes in the war and its purpose.
