Levy is a small, quiet place located in Washington County, in the state of Missouri. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and perhaps a few businesses that are not officially part of a city or town. Instead, the county government handles services for Levy.
A Look Back at Levy's History
Levy once had its own post office! It opened way back in 1889. People living in Levy could send and receive mail right there. However, the post office closed its doors in 1908. Today, we don't know who Levy was named after. The reason for its name has been lost over time.
