Success in Sweden with Sundsvall Dragons and Gothia Basket (2008–2011)
On December 12, 2008, Liam Rush signed with the Swedish team Sundsvall Dragons. The Dragons were struggling when he joined. They had lost nine games in a row.

In November 2009, Rush signed with another Swedish team, Gothia Basket. In March 2010, he got a wrist injury and missed the rest of the season. He averaged 19.0 points and 8.4 rebounds in 16 games for Gothia.
