Libero Andreotti (born June 18, 1875 – died April 4, 1933) was a famous Italian artist and teacher. He was known for his amazing sculptures, drawings, and ceramic art. Many people consider him one of the most important artists and sculptors of the early 1900s.
About Libero Andreotti
Libero Andreotti was born in a town called Pescia, Italy, on June 18, 1875. He worked as a blacksmith, someone who shapes metal, until he was 17 years old.
When he was 17, he moved to Lucca. There, he met a poet named Giovanni Pascoli and Alfredo Caselli. These new friends helped him discover the world of art.
By 1899, Libero moved to Florence. He started working as an illustrator, making drawings for books and magazines. He also worked in a print shop and learned about sculpture from an artist named Mario Galli.
During World War I, Libero Andreotti served in the Italian military.
After the war, he became a teacher. From 1920 until he passed away in 1933, he taught sculpture classes at the State Institute of Art of Florence. He was even the head of the sculpture department! After he died, his former student, Bruno Innocenti, took over his teaching role.
Libero Andreotti died in Florence, Italy, on April 4, 1933.

Artworks and Value
Libero Andreotti's artworks are highly valued. For example, in 2018, one of his porcelain sculptures called Classic conversation (made in 1927 with Gio Ponti) was sold for a high price at an auction.
