How Liberty X Formed

Liberty X was created in 2001 after the first season of the TV show Popstars. This show looked for new music talent. Five contestants who did not make it into the winning group, Hear'Say, decided to form their own band. These five were Michelle Heaton, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm, Jessica Taylor, and Kelli Young. They called themselves Liberty.

The group quickly signed a record deal. They released their first single, "Thinking It Over," in 2001. It became a big hit.

Their Music Style

Liberty X is known for their mix of pop and R&B music. Their songs often have catchy tunes and smooth vocals. They released several popular songs during their career. Their most famous song is "Just a Little," which came out in 2002. This song helped them become very well-known.

Later Years and Reunion

After several successful years, Liberty X decided to take a break in 2007. The members then worked on their own projects. However, the group got back together in 2012. They joined other pop groups from the early 2000s for a TV show called The Big Reunion. This show led to a new tour and more performances for Liberty X.
